A Helan employee will then contact you to finalize your file. This can take up to four weeks, but Helan will handle everything. Once your file is finalized, the actual transfer can take place on the first day of the following trimester. Legally, there are only four dates on which the actual transfer to the Helan health insurance fund can take place: January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, or October 1st.

Switch to Helan hospitalisation insurance

You can easily switch to Helan hospitalisation insurance. Helan offers three plans for its Hospitalia hospitalisation insurance: Hospitalia Smart, Hospitalia Care, and Hospitalia Plus.

If you already have hospitalisation insurance through your work or privately, you can usually switch without a waiting period and at a more favorable rate. If you switch privately and have had private hospitalisation insurance for at least one year, the notice period for your old contract is two months.

If you do not yet have Helan hospitalisation insurance, you can make a comparison and then switch.
