Treatment & guidance
€10 per consultation (max. 80 sessions)
NZVL provides a reimbursement of €10 per session, upon presentation of a certificate or a certificate of assistance provided by a speech therapist.
A maximum of 80 sessions are reimbursed for the same disorder. Additionally, the number of sessions that may warrant reimbursement can be increased once by a maximum of 80 sessions for a different disorder, regardless of age.
Condition: You are entitled to this reimbursement if the treatment is not covered by compulsory health insurance, or if your statutory rights to reimbursement have already been exhausted and the INAMI (National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance) does not provide compensation.
Max. €225 per year
For psychological counseling not covered by statutory reimbursement, NZVL reimburses up to €225 per year (fifteen sessions of €15 each) for children or adults.
Valid for consultations with a certified psychologist, clinical psychologist, clinical educational psychologist, sexologist, psychotherapist, or a provider with a master's degree in educational psychology or psychology.
Online sessions are eligible as long as the above conditions are met.
Birth
€300 allowance per parent
NZVL offers a birth allowance of €300 per affiliated parent upon the birth or adoption of your child.
A newborn child, a minor child in long-term foster care, or a minor adopted child also entitles every affiliated parent to a premium at the time of birth, foster care, or adoption. This concerns long-term foster care. Crisis care or short-term foster care does not entitle the parent to a premium.
Care & hospital
Max. €280 per year
For short-term stays, the NZVL provides a subsidy of €10 per day (with a maximum of 28 calendar days per year).
Short-term stay refers to a temporary stay with an overnight stay in one of the Flemish government-recognized short-stay centers, convalescent homes, residential care centers, licensed care providers, and multifunctional centers.
Max. €125 per year
The NZVL contribution for day and night care is €2.50 per day or night, limited to a maximum of 50 days or nights per calendar year. Day and night care refers to temporary shelter or support provided by a (volunteer) organization.
